Who I am
I’ve spent my career helping organizations turn their ideas and values into real, lasting change. I’ve led associations, worked with governments at every level, and built partnerships that have secured major funding, policy reforms, and programs that made a tangible difference for industries and communities across the Prairies. Through TSS Advisory Services, I now support organizations that want to better navigate government, strengthen their advocacy, or get through pivotal transitions with clarity and confidence. I love connecting people, bridging lived experience with decision-making, and mentoring leaders who want to build this capacity for themselves.

I believe that good policy starts with good purpose — not posturing. And effective advocacy isn’t about who yells the loudest. It’s about strategic, values-driven leadership.
My work bridges the gap between lived experience and legislative decision-making. I help organizations turn evidence into dialogue, and community needs into credible, data driven solutions.
Because change doesn’t happen by accident — it happens when people are prepared, informed, and engaged. I exist to support those doing the real work: the voices, organizations, and missions that deserve to be heard not just in a moment, but as part of the systems that shape our future.

While I bring experience, insight, and relationships to every engagement, what sets my approach apart is discipline. I don’t just chase meetings — I help clients focus, prepare, and sustain advocacy that drives real impact.
Whether advising directly, working behind the scenes, or mentoring others through the process, I help clients align their efforts with the timelines, stakeholders, and systems that actually govern decisions.
Every engagement with TSS Advisory Services is grounded in a practical, proven, and purpose-built approach.
The 5D Advocacy Framework
1
Data driven = Framing your request
Be very specific about what you’re asking for—policy, budget, or regulatory change—and then craft a narrative showing the current situation, the desired outcome, and why it matters. Combining facts with real stories to make your case specific, credible, and human means providing objective and subjective data based on research and stakeholder outreach.
2
Discipline = Strategy & Implementation
Know when and where decisions happen and who influences them. Plan around key dates and build steady, well-timed engagement instead of one-off efforts. Stay flexible as political and economic conditions change.
3
Depoliticize = Merit based & Non-partisan
Lead with evidence, not politics. Focus on the strength of your proposal and build relationships with civil servants and others who understand data and outcomes. Non-partisan advocacy earns lasting trust and results.
4
Decentralize = Leverage community
Work with others who share your goals. Map allies and opponents by influence and interest, share data, and form coalitions to amplify your message. Understand that even disagreement can help refine your strategy and reduce resistance.
5
Debrief & Document = Metrics & Learning
Track what you do and what you learn—meetings, engagement, media, outcomes. After each step, ask: what worked, what didn’t, and what’s next? Continuous reflection builds smarter, more effective advocacy.
